Submit a CL:AIRE Code of Practice declaration

Our regulatory guidelines support the Definition of Waste code of practice (DoW CoP ), which if followed mean that under certain circumstances materials arising on site need not be considered waste.

The DoW CoP is a voluntary framework for determining whether or not excavated material arising from site during remediation and/or land development works are waste. The DoW CoP applies to excavated materials that are:

• reused on the site of production;
• transferred between sites and reused directly without treatment; or
• transferred between sites and reused following treatment, as part of a Cluster project
